Flatshare Description[MORE PICTURES TO COME SOON]
After nearly three wonderful years, I am moving out of this charming flat on the 15/16th of February. We are looking to find someone to move in latest the 21st of February (when next months rent is due). The rent is 660 a month, excluding utilities + council tax - all in it comes to approximately 750 a month. There is a 60 admin fee for the sign over and the deposit is 750. We would like to begin the hand-over process by the end of January / early Feb as paperwork (references etc.) with the letting agency can be time-consuming.
The room up for grabs is a very large (!) double (approximately 20m2) fitted with cozy carpeting, a built in book shelf and double doors onto a private, lush garden terrace which gets late afternoon sunshine. The room is partly furnished with a double bed, mattress (less than 2 years old) and clothing rail.
The flat underwent partial refurbishment in the summer of '17 - the kitchen, shared bathroom and storage room were redone. The large kitchen, which doubles as our shared living space, is outfitted with a brand new, big fridge and has access to a little garden which blooms rather beautifully in the summer. The shared bathroom has a shower + bathtub and a storage nook (connected to the kitchen) has a new washing machine & dryer tucked out of sight.
It's a basement flat situated a short walk from Hackney Central, Hackney Downs, Clapton and Homerton stations and heaps of bus connections. Five minutes walk is the bustling Mare Street and around the corner is Chatsworth Road - which offers a great range of shops, cafs, bars, restaurants, weekend markets and so on. Hackney marshes and the river Lea is also a short walk away. If you don't know this area yet, its a gem. For cyclists, there is a locked shed / bike rack for the house so you can securely and comfortably store your wheels.
Your potential flatmates / friends are Theo (30, French and debatably Australian, a creative-type who would never describe himself as such) and Julis (26, German, deadpan and charming - currently working for a start-up). Both are curious, open and gentle souls - and I can confidently say very easy to live with. They are keen on finding someone that wants to contribute to the social domestic environment but have their own thing going on too.
Please drop us a message if you're interested in viewing the flat :)
